My husband and I started with Discovery Church when it was in the homes. We were invited and had gone a few times, but ended up wandering for five years. We finally decided to come and visit because we kept hearing Pastor Jason’s sermons on YouTube. We’ve been here ever since.
“If you want to call this home, it’s a great place to be.”
At the Dream Center, we serve food and hand out clothes to those who are less fortunate on the second Saturday of the month. I love the feeling of helping and giving to others. Seeing the people walk up with so little, it’s a great feeling to fill a need, to help those who don’t have enough.
“We’re giving something for nothing.”
People have a tendency to overthink what we have and to always want more, but when you see others struggling for basic things, you stop looking at what you don’t have and look at what you do have and realize it’s enough.
“You don’t always have to have more. You can be appreciative for what you have.”
In 2022, I want to jump all in. I thought I had already done that, but God told me that I’m not quite there yet. I still have one foot in and one foot out. So I want do more, help more, be a part of more. I want people to see Jesus through me.
